The name "Pink Buffalo" is inspired by a local legend involving a rare pink buffalo sighted grazing near the mushroom's discovery site. In Thai culture, encountering a pink buffalo is considered a sign of good fortune, adding a layer of mystique to this strain's heritage.
Physical Characteristics
Cap: Medium to large in size, ranging from light cinnamon to dark golden brown, sometimes exhibiting purplish hues. Caps often start conical and flatten with maturity, occasionally featuring a pronounced nipple.
Stipe (Stem): Slender, white to cream-colored, bruising blue upon handling—a common indicator of psilocybin presence.
Gills: Initially light gray, transitioning to dark purple-brown as spores mature.
Spores: Produce a dark purplish-brown spore print, typical of P. cubensis.
